There are a number of schools who happily join us.  Each year we welcome schools from the Saint Cyr, Beausset, Castellet, Auriol, and the Aix-en-Provence communities, as well as students from Swiss and Belgian secondary schools.

We invite you to contact us to plan a pedagogical outing which hinges on sports, sportsmanship, and a mutual respect of peers.
Our objective is to get students familiar with a sport-driven sense of sailing; by means of team-working games, manoeuvring exercises, and other such exercises.

Students will be asked to experiment and participate in, for what will be for most of them, a new range of sensations.

Our students benefit from an approach that will, during their classes, show them the way into a new universe- the universe of the sea- one which they may have vaguely brushed but never understood.

Example of a First Day at the Club:

  • First familiarisation with the materials
  • Introduction to Security: though indispensible on water, safety starts on land!
  • Sorting of Students into Groups, and Team Building: Each person has their own role in a team.
  • First trails out on the Water: Doing work yet having fun!
  • Prepare (rig up), put away (take down rigging), and stowing the boats.
  • Mastering of acceleration, slowing, stopping, and takeoff.
  • Two methods for turning: virement (the transfer), and epannage (jibing)
  • Balance on board the boat.
  • Speeds and mannerisms of the boat.

The essential goal is to have students benefit from personal as well as collective development, to elevate their awareness and to have them evolve, discovering new aspects of life independently and in groups.
